Delaware

Have you been hurt in a Delaware casino either while visiting or working? Do you know what rights you have under Delaware personal injury laws or Delaware workers’ compensation laws?

Speaking with our team of Delaware casino accident attorneys and Delaware casino workers’ compensation lawyers is a wise move.

Delaware’s three pari-mutuel facilities all feature slot machines. Technically, the machines are video lottery terminals (VLT’s) because they are operated in conjunction with the Delaware Lottery. Unlike VLT’s in other states, however, Delaware’s machines pay out in cash. The VLT’s also play other games including: video poker, video keno and video blackjack.

By law, all video lottery games must return between 87% and 95% of all wagers on an annual basis. Games can return above 95% but only with the Lottery Director’s approval.

In mid-2009 the state legalized sports betting for Delaware’s three casinos. You can bet on professional and college sporting events, but not on single games-only on multiple games as seen on parlay cards.

In January 2010 the Delaware legislature approved the addition of table games for the state’s casinos. All Delaware casinos offer: blackjack, roulette, craps, slots and video poker. Some casinos also offer: mini-baccarat (MB), poker (P), pai gow poker (PGP), Caribbean stud poker (CSP), let it ride (LIR), big 6 (B6), bingo (BG), keno (K), three card poker (TCP), casino war (CW), four card poker (FCP) and Spanish 21 (S21).

All casinos are open 24 hours, but they are closed on Easter and Christmas.

If you want to order a drink while playing, be aware that Delaware gaming regulations do not allow casinos to provide free alcoholic beverages. The minimum gambling age is 21 for slots and 18 for horse racing.
